Fedora Girls

The girl with the camera started out as a full body drawing, but after redrawing her legs multiple times I decided to just crop in and add a background.

The girl with the tommy gun has been in my backlog for months. I originally intended to use hard black shadows and one grey tone, but I couldn't get it to work.

So.... I ended up buying a new camera (Fujifilm X-E3) and consequentially have fallen down the rabbit hole of researching lenses and other accessories.

I used a 24mm and 50mm on my APS-C Canon DSLR and thought about either going with a similar focal length combo or just getting a 35mm. I made my mind up on the 35mm, but the body+23mm f2 kit eventually swayed me and I now regret buying it as it's a bit too wide to be my everyday walkaround lens. I'll probably buy a 35mm soon to use as my main lens, then maybe get a 50mm or 52mm later on. And maybe replace the 23mm with a 16mm for landscapes...

Down the rabbit hole...
